Dr. Prada was born and raised in Costa Rica. He graduated from the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2002. He served the community for several years, working in rural areas for the government as a General Dentist. He also practiced in private offices throughout the country until 2005. He moved to the U.S. in 2005 and he has completed his 3-year Periodontics residency training at UC Denver School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Prada graduated from the Advanced Periodontal Therapies Program with a Master in Dental Sciences, a certificate in Advanced Periodontics and a certificate in Periodontal Laser Therapy LANAP, as the first in the nation to receive such a diploma. In addition, he received his Intravenous Sedation certificate.
He is currently an active member of the International Academy of Sleep, American Dental Association®, American Academy of Periodontology and the Texas Dental Association. He is consistently involved with continuing education hours every year.
He is the owner and surgical periodontist of two successful practices, Lakeside Dental Solutions and Mesquite Dental Solutions. For more than 16 years, his team has served thousands of patients and helped them achieve their dream smile.
He is committed to his personal and business mission which is to serve patients in need of honest, comforting solutions, he is eager to help others and give back.
He enjoys beach activities like fishing, snorkeling and surfing. In Dallas, he enjoys swimming, biking, soccer, playing tennis and photography.
He is blessed to have a lovely family in Mary, Stella, Luca and Kai.
